Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • 75 g ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 150 g ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 190 g ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional mix-ins: ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in melted butter.
  • Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the baking soda and salt, and stir to combine.
  • Gradually fold in the flour until no streaks remain (do not overmix).
  • If desired, gently fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and serve plain or with butter for a delicious treat!
